kid again

May 7, 2013

A year or so ago, a friend with the most darling children's boutique, Little Bean, tweeted me a picture of these adorable dresses that she was getting in stock. All I could think was that I desperately wanted to be in Pampers again. I'm a pom pom/tassel/fringe fanatic so I figured if there's a will, there's a way? I finally got to visit the shop a few weeks ago and saw them in person. Pom perfection. To my dismay, there was not a 28T, and my wish to become a toddler for some reason didn't come true (wtf?). So I used my dream catcher, Instagram to snap some pics and commemorate.  As fate would have it, a few days after Little Bean, I came across a rack of girl's XL tassel paraphernalia on sale at Old Navy and scooped it up. I bought two of these dresses and had one made into a crop top. Very cute. If you follow Jessie from the Long & Short of It, you may have seen it there too. #GreatMinds

If you're not sold on the idea of wearing prepubescent things, here is another outfit (minus the sequin pants) that I got from the kids section. Not weird, I promise... (???)

  6. Ah I bought this Old Navy dress too! I was expecting to pay the sale price of $18, but when I checked out it rang up for only $6. Such a score! I was planning to wear it for Cinco de Mayo, but it was incredibly chilly and rainy that day (and has been since) here in NC. Great find!
