SO FREAKING RAD.

February 22, 2012

Just like everyone else.... my time on Pinterest elicits endless ooohs and ahhhs, and occasionally the motivation to actually attempt one of the DIY projects I pin, but this seriously made me stop what I was pinning and blog about it. And here I am.

At first glance, you'd probably think what I did...cute wallpaper! But like me you'd be so wrong. This whole pattern is made out of tiny stickers! And not just solid colors and shapes....everything from candy canes to baby grand pianos.
This is legit one of the most creative and ingenious things I have ever seen. Ever. I can't imagine the time and patience it took to complete the entire room. But I am writing in blood right now on the back of an old bank statement that when we finally move into the house that we'll inevitably spend the rest of our lives in- I am going to take a month off of whatever I'm doing at the time and devote it to this project. And then I am going to sit in that room, and bask in its glory and rock back and forth crying promising to never buy another sheet of stickers for the rest of my God forsaken life.
I tracked down the source of this inexplicable amazingness and it came from the artist, illustrator, and wallpaper creator Payton Cosell Turner. After perusing her site, I found that she also does water color prints of random what-have-yous.

This can only mean  it was fate that I found her work and that we are meant to be together forever. JK JK JK. Unless of course ...okay nevermind just kidding. But I seriously have not been this impressed with someone in a long long time. Brilliant. BRAVO Miss Payton, Bravo!
